VIVID IMAGING Launches MRI Coil Repair Lab Expansion Plan

VIVID IMAGING announced an aggressive plan to expand its presence in the MRI coil repair market. Under the five-year directive, VIVID IMAGING will establish coil repair labs in key markets, which include Europe, Middle East, and Oceania/Asia.

"This project was initiated two years ago. We wanted to ensure we entered these markets fully prepared and our Quality and ISO initiatives were priorities for us", says Scott Scofield, President & CEO of VIVID IMAGING. "Today, our MRI coil technical talent is concentrated at one facility. Each facility will be built around expertise of the dominate coil OEM for that local market. Utilizing live link technology, our labs will be connected via live video feed for project collaborations, promoting technical synergies and resource sharing," says Scofield. The initiative calls for the construction of three labs over the next five years. The first lab will be established near VIVID's E.U. headquarters in Diegem, Belgium. The facility is scheduled for completion 1st quarter of 2010.
